Sunnybank / Salisbury Meals on Wheels

The Sunnybank Meals on Wheels Service has been servicing the Sunnybank and Salisbury area for 50 years, with the funding support of the Federal Government Department of Health.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on the ongoing generosity of volunteers to donate their time and commitment so that we can provide quality meals to our clients, for either short or long term periods.

Meals on Wheels offers much more than a food delivery run, it's a service that brings a sense of security to our clients through our daily visits. Because we won't leave meals in an esky, we are in a position, in an unobtrusive way, to check on the well being of our clients and where necessary contact family or another nominated person if the client needs assistance.

Our volunteers are dedicated to providing a quality, consistent and friendly service and we value and respect our clients for their previous contribution to our community.

Clients are assessed through My Aged Care and referred on to our service — CHSP / HCP. Potential clients may also approach us independently.

Meals on Wheels is not means tested and is available to our clients and their carers at a small cost.
